Year 1 have been using their new outdoor space lots this term, despite the cold weather. They have been using this space to become palaeontologists for the afternoon, but also have also used this space to explore colouring mixing and get a little messy in their learning.

They have also been working hard in their phonics recently. They have been learning lots of new sounds which has helped their reading and writing come along too! There are lots of new games to explore in their provision space to help with this too.

Year 1 have also been getting creative in their art sessions this term. They even made dinosaur feet with clay and used them to make patterns.

In maths, year 1 became Pizza chefs and learned how things can be divided to equally share things out.
