Mrs Beighton - Year 1 Class Teacher

My name is Mrs Beighton and I am the current year 1 teacher. I previously worked with year 1 when they were in FS2.

I have a cat called Mr Pickles. I really enjoy hill walking and I do a variety of craft activities. I like making needle felted pictures.

Mrs Davies - Teaching Assistant

My name is Mrs Davies. I have been working at Kingston for three years now. I am married with four children and in my spare time I love cleaning and spending time with my family.

Not many people know this, but I am also a qualified hairdresser.  I absolutely love my job helping children and watching them grow into fantastic individuals.

For our topic this half term we will be finding out about dinosaurs. We will become palaeontologists (that’s a scientist who studies bones and fossils). We will be able to dig deep, finding out amazing dinosaur facts and creating a museum to show awesome artefacts.

We will be able to move like a dinosaur and create a dinosaur dance and make prehistoric music.

Our home learning project this half term is to find out all you can about lizards (chameleon), bearded lizard rhinoceros or crocodile. What do they look like? Where do they live? How big are they? How do they move? What do they eat?
